Construit il y a 38 ans, le court Louis Armstrong a fermé ses portes. La victoire de Kei Nishikori sur Ivo Karlovic constitue le dernier match sur ce court mythique de l’US Open. Le premier simple avait opposé en 1978 Bjorn Borg à Bob Hewitt. Il va être reconstruit pour réapparaître avec un toit à l’horizon 2018.
